Beanie Baby Bears

The biggest things in the later part of the 1990’s were Beanie Babies made by the Ty Company. These were bears about 6 inches in height and they were decorated in all different decorations and designs. These toys were made in all different animals but the bears were the most popular, after the death of Princess Diana, Ty created a bear in her honor, it was a purple bear with a rose on her chest. That bear has been retired and no longer in circulation.

The company continues to make beanie bears today. They are not as popular as back in the 90’s but there are people who still collect them just the same. These bears are worth some money but the one key thing in making these bears worth something is the Ty tag. Without the tag these bears are only worth half of what they should be. Beanie babies and the bears are a part of pop culture history.

These bears are still very cute and cuddly. They are great for decoration for a nursery, if you have children under 5 make sure you take the tag off of the bear, because it is a choking hazard. If you are looking to collect but you want your child to have one simply buy 2 they are very inexpensive.
